The Manistee Area Public Schools summer elementary reading camp stopped by the farm for a morning of reading, animals, and popsicles. Kids got to tie-dye their own t-shirts, then settled in for story time right alongside the herd, complete with a book about an alpaca who turns out to be a pretty terrible librarian. Amara the alpaca was the star of the show, handing out kisses to anyone who got close enough (and getting a few blown right back). Greg even shared the leftover popsicles with Izzo, who didn’t seem to mind being the unofficial taste-tester.
